Are You Losing Your Confidence Regarding Your Circumstances?
(Daily Inspirational Memory Verse)
"Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded "
Hebrews 10:35
Have you ever tried to stand on God's word about a matter, but found yourself getting weary? Perhaps, in the beginning, you felt strong and courageous. Yet, as time went on your confidence began to fail. At this point, you probably started wondering if God would come through for you. Honestly, when you've been going through a trial for a long time, it's hard to be confident in God.
How Do You Know If Your Confidence Is Failing
There a few keys signs that reveal your confidence in God is low. Your view on the situation goes from certain victory to a mere possibility. You avoid witnessing to others because you're struggling to believe too. You become irritated when others talk about trusting God because it reminds you that He hasn't answered you. You become consumed with worry and stress because you're still trying to fix your own problem.
Reasons For Low Confidence In God
Our confidence in God can become weak if we're trying to figure out God's solution to our problem. Our carnal minds cannot fathom how a supernatural God will work out our earthly situation. Philippians 4:6-8 reveals that "we should be anxious for nothing but in all things supplication and prayer let our request be made known unto God." When we are not anxious, we find peace in knowing that God will help us through our difficult situation according to His will.
Our "will" is what can keep us struggling with having confidence in God's "will." When we pray, we expect solutions immediately. Yet, things do not always work out as fast as we would like. However, we should not throw away our confidence in God. He tells us that our steadfast confidence "[ . . . ] will be richly rewarded."
How To Be Confident In God
If you want to keep your confidence in God during difficult times, remain prayerful. Despite how you might feel about what you're going through, pray without ceasing. Sometimes you might need to pray every day; sometimes you might need to pray every hour, and sometimes you might need to pray every minute.
Pray as much as you need to, but don't you dare carry the burdens that Jesus already bore. Psalms 55:22 tells us to "cast [our] cares on the Lord and he will sustain [us] he will never let the righteous be shaken." Continue to meet inner conflict and anxiety about your problem with prayer, and God will give you a battle plan or a direct solution.
When you get instructions from God, be sure to obey them because He will back up His word, and He will not let you down. God uses His written, spoken, or prophetic word to reveal things to your mind that will help you. Sometimes, He performs a supernatural miracle on your behalf. Just continue to believe, and hold fast your confidence that He may reward your diligent faith with breakthrough solutions in which He can be praised.
